I am looking for some creative inexpresive ideas for centrepieces for our beach themed wedding! It is in July and our colours are Espresso and Robin Egg Blue (light blue).
How about a large vase with a large mouth opening (like a hurricane lamp but closed on the bottom) fill1/3 of the way with sand and place a large white candle inside, the sand will keep the candle steady. You can then place sea shells or sea glass in the sand.

You can do a lot with a beach theme. For centerpieces, you could do beach umbrellas. sandcastles, beach pails.
you could also take a clear plastic bowl (the fancy ones) fill it with water and put fish or fake fish in it.
another cool idea I saw was a beach pail filled with one size fits all flip flops ( you could do espresso for guys and light blue for girls or vise vera)with a sign in front of it that says " relax and put your dancin shoes on " so that people could relax in comfortable shoes.
You can’t go wrong with a sandcastle, even if its fake.

I think beach themes are so cute. I suggest getting some cheap votive candle holders (try walmart), and get some sand, which you can find pretty cheap at some places. Fill the candle holders almost half way with the sand. Then find you some expresso colored candles (small enough to fit in with the sand) and set them down in the sand. You could also find colored sand maybe even in the light blue and use it layered with regular sand to get a more creative water look. Set the candles in the middle of the table. Then get you some sea shells and maybe your choice of small flower or just some petals (in the light blue color) and place sparingly around the candles. If you are having large, long tables, I suggest placing 2-3 small candles along each table but if you are using round tables go for 1 slightly larger candle in the middle. You could use either tealights or votives, which ever you think would be nice. No matter what you do, a beach theme wedding always looks nice. I hope this helps. Good luck!
