My wedding will be May 16, 2009. It’ll be a church wedding with the reception in the church gym. I’m stuck between a beach them and a three color theme. The 3 colors would be apple red, gold, and white. There will be about 200 guests. Which one would look better?
It’s be more a tropical theme rather than a beach theme.
I think I am leaning more towards colors.

I like them both! why couldn’t you use them both? for instance I would do the sand ceremony instead of the candle and put your colors in the sand. the favors could have the tropical theme in it. you have two great ideas do both or whatever is in your heart. but i could picture the center pieces with if you do vases you could put sand on the bottom with the ribbons that match your color scheme and if it is indoors you could put the floating candles in it or if you want to alternate do one table with that and the other with Pineapples and get tooth picks and stick them with cherries or cheese. It depends what type of reception you want you could do a lot, most important thing is have fun with it and make it your own and I wish you the best of luck.

for reception only
ceremony will be at a church.

You can use whatever color you like…Pinks/ LT Greens/Peach/Blues and yellow…Or think of the colors the when the sun is setting on the beach and go of those, they would be richer darker colors…

We are having a beach theme wedding in Ocean city Maryland, and I need ideas on the Save the Date wording. I am making the Save the Date magnets myself, and having a picture of a sunset on the beach in the background. I want something thats cute with a beach feel. Save the day for May 8th, 2010. If you have any ideas please let me know!

Thank you!

This may go against your idea since you already have a picture you want to use… but you may want to consider writing "Save the Date" in the sand with your fingers right on the water’s edge with two hearts.

Really, a whole lot of wording isn’t needed on a save the date – just the two of your names and the date. But if you want to, I could recommend something like, "Get ready to feel the sand between your toes on May 8th, 2010." or something like that.

I am having a beach themed wedding and I would like to give my bridesmaids something along the lines of the theme. I thought about flip flops but they all have enough of them (believe me they do!). Any ideas? something unique?

I think traditionally the bride gives her bridesmaids jewelery, someone told me that recently, maybe some coral or cool shell necklaces.

I am looking for some creative inexpresive ideas for centrepieces for our beach themed wedding! It is in July and our colours are Espresso and Robin Egg Blue (light blue).

How about a large vase with a large mouth opening (like a hurricane lamp but closed on the bottom) fill1/3 of the way with sand and place a large white candle inside, the sand will keep the candle steady. You can then place sea shells or sea glass in the sand.

My friend is getting married and I will be a bridesmaid. The wedding is not at the beach. She is looking for creative ideas for decorations and centerpieces. Any will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I was at a an anniversary party about a year ago that was beached themed and the center pieces were these round glass bowls, like a fish bowl, and they put shells and blue glass marble and sand it it and in the center a candle in the center they were pretty I took one home!!
